Jvc Ipod Kaboom Cable

ancient Troy Shaman 2009 - first edition

The year was 2007, sitting at the table in a restaurant, we listened to Daniel Cesconetto reveal his deep sleep: the Ultratrail Cansiglio, a race in the mountains like the ones that until then were organized just beyond the Alps, and that made a journey from the heights Pizzoc northern trip, a clockwise loop between those peaks, those forests and meadows, which hovers still something magical and mysterious.
In those words, in the transcendent gaze was already alive in the Old Troj degli Sciamani.

Anno 2009, mese di settembre, giorno 18, venerdì.
Ore 9.
Ore 16. "Parto, hello. Vico Hello, hello Viola."
17.30. Leave the car in a little road side immediately meet Titian, leading the race to be sure, but to hear him down the form, bruised ... "July - he says - yes and no progress will have two or three times."
trettenere I can not smile because every time it's the same story. "But I'm fine - the answer - and this is my friend, Fabio. Young, but a horse race."
The square of the civic center is packed with people and immediately began this flurry of kisses, hugs, handshakes, pats on the shoulder that makes me fill up with emotion.
We sit in the room to follow the briefing leaflet of the races, our "Shamans of ancient Troy," and the well-known "Ecomaratona of the Cimbri. It starts of course with the latter (indeed before even talking about the mayor and someone else). Gianni De Polo describes in detail the route of the marathon, then ..., then tap all'ultratrail, but nothing, no explanation, only a movie: 10 'of pure emotion, images Cansiglio, Cesco (net) and running partners , and the writer of Savorgnani speaking of that place ("the Ander de Mate" or the mother's cave, inhabited by mysterious forces, and attended by shamans, magicians and hermits!) located at the top of our future trips and to whom we owe the behalf of the Trail.
19 Hours and 30. It 'the time of the pasta party. We move to the football field where he set up a large tent, type festival, whose shelter is located on the stage and several tables and benches. We sit down with Robbie and his brother George, that fulminate "plusplus" and the legendary Cesconetto, wearing proud, but modest, the mesh of the Spartathlon 2008 (of which race finisher!) And that next week will see him again engaged in 'inhuman undertaking to make the trip to Athens-Sparta 246 km non-stop. At the tables around is full of friends and athletes from healthy. Many, almost all are here for the marathon, only a few, but good spirits perloppiù Trail, to the Trojan.
The pasta party is superb. I can not publicly commend the chefs for that tasty sauce with which they peppered the many pasta dishes che ci siamo ingollati (e in più affettati e formaggi!).
Ore 20 e 30.
Maybe sleep now!
Fabio puts the earplugs and succeed, in part a deep sleep and this will continue at the scheduled time.
But I'm there, motionless with eyes closed e. .. will be hot, it will be the emotion, feel the temples throb. Meanwhile, there's also the other athletes, in dribs and drabs, and is a great noise of zip, mattresses and pumps to inflate them, and whispers. Between 22 and 30 and 23 there is finally silent. But do not sleep. Then, magically ...
Sunday 20. A bit 'to singhizzo and two intermediate awakenings, sleep until 2 am when the alarm sounds of David. "But if we get up at 2:30 in that ca .. or need to wake up every half an hour before?". Anyways, ' I follow the example of someone else and take advantage of the dark to change without veils, then go to the bathroom. While free in the bladder with the Turkish I hear the door open "gio62 'intent in ablutions, telling me" I seem to be in the barracks. " I leave the toilet, looking at him, and we exchange a smile.
I'll be back in the room where there is a bit 'dim light, some shape in the shadows between which also, forgive the bluntness, I said, even a nice ass, female ovvimanete.
2:30 am, breakfast. While splamo toast with jam that one that requires me to eat, enter the door a man with a beard. "But you're the writer!" I tell him now, he smiles, mumbles something that I do not understand, he pulls out a bottle termica e ci offre del caffé: wow! Zuccherato: bleah!
Ore 2 e 40.
The check in numerical order. The first (Moreno and companion) and pass the barriers are about to leave, so for them the trail is an experience that has nothing to do with the competition. But amid the laughter of all the facts are recalled and stopped.
4 hours. I see John with his right hand that mimics the number three at the same time I feel it start to count down "three, two, one, parties, e. .. I'll take this first section will" turn and part rocket along the paved road, us behind him. I try to keep your legs in check, who has run several times recommended Fabio! In short meters of asphalt that separates us from the attack of the steps Fabio control, as if to say, "okay?". But even the head of the control group: Caverzan and Gasparini (Titian), the Trentino, we ... and with great amazement I see a Cesconetto legs glistening with oil immediately to the attack, followed by Comrade Walter Poss. Behind us a group of athletes who do not want to know to get off. I was expecting a quiet start, but ... started to bomb.
Turn right on shooting, Gianni greets us wish you a beautiful trail, and start jumping on the stairs going up next to the fountain. Again, I imagined a slower start, I feel the same body, so antelucano on time, it does not really want to push hard to know. I let go the first two pairs and I'm happy to check Cesco-Poss, but here that support me and outweigh us of the two Mercurys (local jogging group, exceptional in some ways which I will discuss later). But I do not feel Fabio and in fact is 50 meters back. Waiting to take advantage of the hairpin. From here the climb is less steep, pass on your right going up the stairs to St. Augusta and take that road corribilissima nice and I did back with the Grand Raid, so I think. Fabio
struggling to keep my pace, no, I am that I struggle to adjust to her. And I have confirmation of a competitive environment. Okay, I'll put me away, finished fifth, who cares. So, after spending just an isolated house in the woods, populated by young revelers and night owls, the look and climb together, up the forest. In a moment we all'Agnellezza and, among other things, and a glimmer of reflective tapes, we go out into the open in the dark of night under a vault of stars shining on a carpet and teeming with artificial lights.
What a sight: I stop, I turn around and admire. Then up again to
path carved into the mountainside. Ahead of us a few flashes from time to time makes me realize that we do not have a big gap to those who withdraws. Then the voices from the woods, startled, but continued. At the back bends north and exit again from the bush. Here is a front approaching me from the side valley, is Caverzan, which plunged me back on the path from the lawn and muttering something. Behind me is a close Titian I let that pass and wait for my partner. Suns insoles, no front, no one behind, finally climb over Pizzoc fork. Here are the organizers were waiting for the pass and greet us. In the dark of night I acknowledge Stefano Cimbro behind the camera and the unique voice of good Pizzol tells me: "you're great." So we set off in the easy road first and then the dreaded walk through the woods. Feared because I remember it well from past editions dell'Ecomaratona is not easy.
But this time it's a different story. Now Fabio is also quiet and spins his legs and when should the "technical", b ', boys, let us boast a bit,' Well, the engineer, "there is not for anyone. "
In the twinkling of approaching two couples ahead of us. The Mercurys and Cesco-Poss. Now it turns sharply right and it slips into a groove in discesa.Il path (if such can be defined !) is a continuous obstacle: wet rocks, mudslides, and slimy branches across. "Hey, Cesco, but I think the way to trace the paths?" and his "this is the trail," but the branches cavarli way you could, right? "," there were no ...", "Yes, behold, he will put the Mazariol." So, between a joke and the other, proceed with caution, but then when I see that I can hardly keep up, I launch into a double-triple-quadruple breathtaking overtaking. It is Fabio con me.
Puntiamo a riprendere il sentiero e sbuchiamo al villaggio cimbro Vallorch of that cross on the heels of Mercurys that had overtaken us. And here, will be 5.45, there is already waiting for their first supporter. The Mercurys is a large group and works extremely well together, a sight all those orange mesh ... But a show is also set to become our nightmare. But all in good time.
And, speaking of the right things at the right time, it seems that here the organization is messed! "Where's the rest?". "It was not to be here the rest?". All four startled continue to run in the first glimmers of dawn. Down again, I think, in the woods and in any case soon after it opens in front of a heavenly vision: the plain Cansiglio caressed the delicate light of the sun that rises, a light veil of fog covers the fields as a quilt with a backdrop of blue ridges of the northern mountain range that we are waiting.
With Fabio chat running relaxed. We speak, of course, of UTMB and its recent withdrawal. Then greet the pastures to return to climb the wooded ridge. Other voices in the darkness, from above, then here Tiziano down from the right, while we ensure you are going up but more to the left. Again has the wrong road, he says, and who knows what went on Caverzan. We climb together, quiet, does not disdain our pace honest. A look at the bottom of the valley: the two orange shirts of our pursuers. But the screams serious first confused, then nidite "Tiziaaanoooo, Tiziaaanoooo ... ..." come from above. And I, without much screaming, "is here, come." Shortly after top of the hill and here Caverzan angry black Tiziano collects and carries it behind a double rhythm of our "I had taken up", I hear him before you see them disappear among the beech trees.
We run quietly, at our pace, without effort, without anxiety and enjoying the scenery. Through pastures, crossed their inhabitants, zigzagging between their droppings, and we adapt to politely open and close the gates. The ground sags and begins to flex gently downwards, stroking her legs turn the lawn in front of us and promises a stunning carousel: Civetta, Pelmo, Marmolada (?).
E Fabio è con me.
When we are on top of the steep ramps see them below, always around 2 '. We are top, flattening, we leave the vegetation, which was restored and we see the step up to Anderson, the last effort through clenched teeth. Fabio takes it hard because the soul is perhaps even more competitive than me. We pass the cavern at the very least disturbing and I wonder why they did not even get to that I have to resist the strong desire to go and explore (and a little 'I'm ashamed, I admit). We salute the volunteers of the control, if I remember correctly we call for caution in the stretch to follow and that will tell us all down 10 km. "Ok, thanks" and down we went, but not before he had given a ultimo sguardo agli atleti del Mercurys che risalgono anche loro su all'Ander.
Ecco, allora, ci lanciamo..., ci cosa? Il dubbio ci blocca e ci costringe a pensare e a tornare sui nostri passi fino all'ultima fettuccia incontrata. "Azz...", "va be', dai..." comunque è un sollievo.
La tranquillizzo: "We have reservations in backpacks, thanks." "Ah, it is well" and leave again. Time to take the path and read the sign that indicates missing, another 12 miles and again we hear the familiar sound of the horns to greet the athletes at our heels. "It 's the last climb," I keep repeating as on other occasions, and once again top of the hill, it clears and then resume rising. Meadows, forest, sun shade, gates and cattle pastures mine-shit, short descents, gravel and Pizzoc high background contrasted by a sky quite a bit 'gray. "Who knows what we go again, who knows what Fabio still endure this ordeal ..." I keep thinking to myself, and every once in a faint voice reminds me of the careful "Emme long view ... ... the situation behind ...". Then like a mirage appears casera Cadolten with this appearance and also a doubt the most atrocious "and now we are blessed or get us to impose the proposed variant of the Echo Cimbri?". Some people turn to them and my question, "Now you go?", "Yes, yes it is all downhill," and as it relates to the zombie that I drag myself from many kilometers. Refreshments. I offer the cola, I think, ... but did not give him time to finish it because I see way over the pass and calmly dived into the dining ... own an orange shirt of Mercurys. "Here, Fabio, let's not go right now that is done." And so we leave the cart in downhill. The road slowly begins to point down arrow when a firm has decreed that we should leave the gut for that path that winds along the bank. "It 's the path of black earth, they were talking about last night at the briefing! there is no doubt, have the final in common with the marathon. Tarverso rambling and lagging in counterslope, then we set off ... or rather I am throwing down in the woods. "Come on Fabio, force" the urge to give up their legs "here on the technical!" and pass the two athletes on the short distance that I too had already passed. We meet a lot of people and the mountain rescue organization, the path is equipped with ropes that serve as a parapet, but non me ne servo tant'è deciso il mio andare.
Then all of a sudden you see the double arch inflatable goal, and I doubt the usual "what is good?", Then Alex, the speaker, that there cheering loudly, about me, but do not listen to what says, but leading an incredible leap into the air. Fabio and I also say that indicates it stressing its greatness, then we join hands and be glad breaking through the line in third position after 9 hours and 50 'circa.Subito handshakes, kisses, and compliments ... Flying an interview granted without too many problems of breath.
For the record: the orange jersey that we pursued in the last descent was an athlete in the marathon, then find out that De Conti and Morandin, which goes all my praise, they too have faced moments of crisis.

Fabio is happy, I know, he wanted more of me at this result and he deserved it more than me. Now he sits on the lawn, then a chair, then on the sidewalk, with Clare, his girlfriend looks at him sweetly. He 's young, he still has to learn things, but ... determination the guy has!
