Mozart's Andante Grazioso From Unleashed

History. Crusaders in the Heart of Sicily. The Knights Templar and the Teutonic Piazza Armerina.

During the Middle Ages, Piazza Armerina , under the name of Platia , fu sede di diversi ordin i monastici e di ordini mo nastico-mili tari, come i Cavalieri di Malta, all’ep oca Ospedalieri , o i Ca valieri d el Tempio.
The feather and the angels finally congealed ntano purity and sincerity of the Knights Temp me. In addition to the front, other elements can be found inside east of the cloister of the church, specificatam body shields in above some columns are rich, some say, of Templar symbolism. The first coat of arms, in the arcade on the right as you enter, submit a shield with a crenellated tower, equipped with doors and windows, flanked by two lions rampant. But it is above the sculpture, a cat-shaped face, which attracts attention, boldly giving it an identity legata all’antico Egitto: il gatto che uccide il dio Apophis, di aspetto serpentino e malvagio. In mezzo altro motivo floreale: giglio.
Chi invece dimorò in quella sede furono i Cavalieri dell’Ordine Militare Teutonico. Infatti i Teutonici a converted from military system and training equal to that of the Templars and were also the first to decay in the same peri hear the second in Sicily.
the ancient home of the crusaders are the tower (now the church tower) and stretches of walls built in the current complex, including the walls (
just interfered in the cloister on the left) where they are still allocated portal of late-Gothic style (first half of the thirteenth century). The cross license, according to historian piazzese, refers to at least the 1st half of the thirteenth century date of construction of the tower, when the Teutonic Order, favored by the Emperor Frederick II of Swabia, the sviluppò nell’Isola in gran numero di commende.
And the arms of the cloister? They are really signs of a culture ancient temples?
In truth, there is nothing exceptional, and each coat has its origin well
states tied to a person who has somehow got to do with the period of the monks of Caramel. So that the coat of arms with the tower and the two lions belong to the family and the Tower with the dragon family Boccadifuoco. Both donated funds to build the monastery. Then here is the coat of arms with the "A".
And the emblem on the facade of the church? The coat has a growing surmounted by a eight-pointed star at the bottom. At the top a palm branch bent to the left and a lily with leaves and branches bent to the right. This emblem is the symbol of the monastery because it adds to the symbols piazzese Carmelites (rising star) symbols Sant'Angelo (the palm) and St. Albert (the lily), saints who lived, according to tradition, the city of Piazza Armerina.
the end the only element that remains likely belonging to a Military Order Crusader is the cross license.
