What Does A Red Ontario License Mean?

Storia. La "Giudecca" del cuore di Sicilia. Cronache ebraiche a Piazza Armerina.

On March 31, 1492, with the issuing of an edict Ferdinand the Catholic, husband of Isabella of Aragon and king of Castile, Aragon, Catalonia, Sicilia e Sardegna, cacciò, dai regni sottoposti al suo potere, tutti gli Ebrei che no n volevano ricevere il battesimo.
Immediata
mente, i Cristiani che avevano crediti nei confronti degli Ebrei, chiesero l’adempimento delle obbligazioni contratte, costringendoli a barattare con the goods to their stores or their homes. Thus, the viceroy issued un'ordinan za June 9 with the requesting suspension of any legal procedure against the Jews if they do not fully fulfilled their debts, and required Proti elders and not to excommunicate those who dared to change, hide or sell cheap goods of all kinds, according to their rite.
On June 20, 1492 met under the chairmanship of the Grand Executioner Tommaso Moncada, Count of Adernò, the judges of the Magna Curia and the Masters of Real Assets with Rational other compo nents of the Sacred Royal Council.
La "Giudecca", ovvero il quartiere ebraico della cittadina, attivo e prosperoso fin dai primi anni del XV secolo, si presume che possa have been located near the present church of Saint Lucia, in the historic district of canals. Indeed, it confirmed the hypothesis that the same Christian church was, in ancient times, a real synagogue.
a clearer witness on the Giudecca is given by the square of some documents dated after the year 1468. The first of them on March 9, 1469, is the order of the viceroy of our Proto Durrea the Giudecca in Palermo to send one or two delegates to receive instructions on matters of "Royal Service": in fact it was, as is said in a following document, to raise funds to pay the dowry to the king. La Giudecca Piazza was taxed for 8 ounces, whereas in 1464 it was was taxed by just 3 ounces, 15 tan and 7 grains.
In the decree of King Ferdinand which requires only one religion in his kingdoms, namely Christianity, and n 6 and 7 July and then August 4, 1492, the viceroy, writing to the bishops, to Giudecche , to the Captains and the Jurors of Cities and public lands, give instructions for the recognition and treatment of the Jews who converted to Christianity. These, reported by the bishops, they were treated as Christians, be replenished in the property and, therefore, not expelled. But what conditions reserved for those who remain in the faith of the Fathers?
As in those circumstances, then there were profiteers, the unscrupulous profiteers and thieves who worked to make gains at the back of people helpless and frightened.
The viceroy was informed and was forced to send in all the land of Sicily special commissioners to investigate the honesty and behavior of the royal officers. In the town of Piazza Armerina
came to the post on Mr Gaspar de Riera, then such a Matthew Purcell, with the specific task requirements to sell the goods to the Jews and to deposit the proceeds from the R. Treasury in Messina.
On October 31 the viceroy sent a letter to the captain, to judges, jurors and the Secret Steps to warn them that King Ferdinand was granted an extension of 40 days to the expulsion of those Jews who were not able to pay their debts to the R. Curia.
expulsion took place, speak a total of 500 ounces, 29 tan and 20 grains. or 100 million pounds of the 90s, apart from the difference in purchasing power between the currency of the fifteenth century than today.
the story of Jewish Piazza Armerina, as stated, remains the only part of a building around which the present church was rebuilt in Saint Lucia and probably the ancient synagogue. In addition, near the main entrance side, you can see written in stone that we do not know what it refers to. For the rest there is nothing left. The present church is circodata houses and, in a totally amateur, he tried to rebuild or show the same without him around existing buildings.
for December 13 is celebrated in the district Saint Lucia and the fact that the church is really dedicated to this saint is suspicious. In the period preceding the winter solstice the Jewish tradition has it that there is the famous festival of Hanukkah, or "festival of lights", with which we celebrate the historical event that wants to consecrate a new altar, within the Temple of Jerusalem after the given freedom, given to Jews and Greeks (Zech 4:6). This festival, for the symbol it uses, or the light (many folk buy their luggage folk festivals related to their light in the winter) is very close to the feast of Saint Lucia, that "light", meaning also and especially in its spiritual meaning, is patron. It is no coincidence that the Jewish holiday, for example in Syracuse, lasted eight days as the celebrations in honor of Christian saints.
